2016 ISA Surf Coach & SLSGB Lifeguarding Awards

Outer Reef goal is to give all surf coaches & Lifeguards training & development who want to learn the relevant skills and knowledge to be able to Lifeguard the beaches or run surf lessons as an ISA-Surfing GB Level 1 surf coach.

The course consists of the ISA L1 surf instructor course plus extra modules developed by Surfing GB to follow UK & Europe laws. The ISA coaching program is the only worldwide internationals recognised award.


Our venues for SLSGB courses are.. UK Wales, Pembrokeshire & North Wales Surfsnowdonia, Scotland, Jersey, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Dubai wave pool & Sri Lanka.

The accommodation in Wales is amazing we have teamed up with the YHA & have eco pods as well as a hostel with the highest standard & situated in a sleepy 15th century village with a castle & a right hand reef break as well as beaches breaks surrounding it, therefore the perfect location for us to run our ISA & Slsgb Lifeguarding courses.

What to bring

If your not already an experienced surfer & travellers we just want to remind you of the most important things:

  • Surfing gear: board, leash, wetsuit, wax etc.
  • Pen and paper
  • (Travel insurance)

Prerequisites:

  • Payment of course fee though our website:http://outerreefbooking.co.uk/
  • You will receiving your manuals as soon as you have made payment & registered
  • 2 years surfing experience 
  • Relevant surfing skills (on board type of your choice)
  • Controlled surfing in waves up to 1.5m 
  • Basic front- and backside bottom and top turns with control.
  • Life Saving Certificate can be done before or after the course 

First aid in & out of the water
The ISA (International Surfing Association) & Surfing Great Britain, will endorse your Surf Instructor qualifications. You will gain valuable work experience with huge potential of landing a job within the Surfing  & Lifeguard Industry & Outdoor Activities.
